This is one of my first vlog where I document my life where I’m being young and dumb exploring Downtown Fredericksburg.
In my latest vlog, I journey through the historic town that has a lot of charm and room to explore. Featuring brick pathways, rural architecture, and a calm atmosphere, my vlog shows the fun me and my friends have visiting different hidden gems in local spots. Unique shops like “Crown Jewelers” or the scenery of the nearby park helped us appreciate the compactness as its an experience that is always good to come back to.
This TikTok is just a video of my friends dog trying to eat its own tail. Its funny because the dog is moving faster with the thought it would reach the tail eventually. The sound I used for the TikTok is a popular meme sound that is used when something is really funny or really irrational going on in the video. Its one of TikTok’s most commonly used sounds.
I did a mashup of Michael Jacksons songs ‘Wanna Be Startin Somethin’ and ‘Billie Jean’ because of the similar tempos of the songs and the overall groove matches in my opinion.
Soundtrack of my life – Love, Reflection, and Release (2 Stars)
This playlist is a representation of my life as I have struggled with understanding love and connection through the struggling relationships I have been through. Some of the songs reflect on my positive experiences, but also some of my hard heartbreaks from people I felt like I was really connected to. Another portion of songs reflects on my struggle with materialistic addictions and having a disconnect in relationships with my friends and family, as I saw these temporary things as an escape for my deep-rooted pain I didn’t resolve. Specifically, the absence of a parent affected me, and it is prevalent through the song ‘Answer,’ where I used the escape of material and short-term satisfaction to ignore these feelings. Songs like ‘I Can’t Help It,’ ‘U,’ and ‘Beat It’ describe my moments of reflection on not being a pushover, reflecting on myself and what I can improve upon, and then even aspects I can’t control that I have to let go. ‘End of the Road’ and ‘It’s My Party (I’ll Die If I Want To)’ describe my conclusions of letting go and living freely, but also that some things must come to an end; finding comfort in conclusions, even if I don’t want them, gives me closure.
The city’s skyline received a vibrant new addition this morning as the highly anticipated “Canal Walk Kinetic Sculpture,” a massive, wind-powered art installation designed by local students and engineers, officially began its full rotation at the turning basin of the James River.
The project, which has been in development for over two years, features a series of interconnected, stainless-steel sails that harness the river’s steady breeze. As the sculpture moves, it generates enough clean energy to power the ambient LED lighting that will illuminate the canal path throughout the evening.
“It’s not just a sculpture; it’s a living piece of infrastructure,” said Sarah Jenkins, the project’s lead designer. “Watching it catch the light against the backdrop of the city while knowing it’s helping sustain the park is exactly what we hoped for.”
City officials gathered at the waterfront at 9:00 a.m. to witness the official “activation,” which was met with cheers from a crowd of commuters and residents who had stopped to watch the sails catch their first real gust of wind. To celebrate the installation, the Richmond Parks and Recreation Department has announced that the section of the canal will host a free “Evening Glow” event this Saturday, featuring local food trucks and music to showcase the new light display.
The installation is expected to become a new landmark for the downtown area, blending the city’s historical canal roots with its growing reputation for public art and sustainability. Visitors are encouraged to walk the basin path this weekend to see the sculpture in action.
